Why the finish you choose outlasts the colour you choose

Sheen is the spec people forget to write down — and the one that decides whether a touch-up disappears or announces itself.

A colour match is only half of a successful touch-up. If the original coat was eggshell and the touch-up is satin, the repair will catch the light at a different angle and stay visible no matter how perfect the pigment match.

This is why ChromaGain treats finish as a first-class field on every surface. Matte, eggshell, satin, semi-gloss, gloss — plus the manufacturer's own name for it, because 'matte' from one brand reflects like another brand's eggshell.

Here is a room-by-room guide to which finish tends to survive real life, and how to record what you already have.
